For the purpose of meeting the needs of the rapid development of high technology and its products and encouraging the commercialization and industrialization of high technology and its products, the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Finance and State Administration of Taxation, based on the Chinese High-tech Products Catalogue 2000, worked cooperatively to revise the Chinese High-tech Products Catalogue 2003. Through open collection and assessment of experts, the Chinese High-tech Products Catalogue 2006 now has been formulated against the key fields, priority themes and frontier technology provided in the Outline of National Plan for Medium- and Long-term Scientific and Technological Development and is hereby promulgated. Chinese High-tech Products Catalogue 2000 shall be abolished simultaneously.
