The Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress about Amending the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Wild Animals was adopted at the 11th session of the standing committee of the 10th National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on August 28th, 2004. It is hereby promulgated and shall be implemented as of the date of promulgation.

The Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress about Amending the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Wild Animals

The 11th session of the Standing Committee of the 10th National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China decides to amend the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Wild Animals as follows:

Paragraph 2 of Article 26 shall be amended as "The establishment of a hunting area open for foreigners shall be reported to the administrative department of wild animals of the State Council for archival purposes."

This Decision shall be implemented as of the date of promulgation.

The Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Wild Animals shall be re-promulgated after it has been amended in accordance with this Decision.
