Re: Selected Organic Law still in Force

For the continuation of the State Audit, it is necessary to revise the Organic Law on State Audit, B.E. 2542 (1999) for the continuation of its enforcement. The Council for Democratic Reform therefore hereby announces as follows:

Clause 1. The Organic Law on State Audit, B.E. 2542 (1999) shall continue in force, provided that the provisions of Part 1, Chapter 1, shall be suspended until otherwise is announced. In this case, the State Audit Commission holding office on the 18th September B.E. 2549 (2006) shall vacate office.

Clause 2. The State Auditor-General holding office on the 18th September B.E. 2549 shall remain in office until otherwise is announced.

Clause 3. The powers of the State Audit Commission under the Organic Law on State Audit, B.E. 2542 (1999) shall be the powers and duties of the State Auditor-General.
