No. 15
Re: Prohibition of Political Parties from Organising Meeting or Political Activities
Owing to the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, B.E. 2540 (1997) had been
repealed by the Announcement of the Council
for Democratic Reform No. 3 dated
19th September B.E. 2549 (2006) and the political movement has been prohibited
by the Announcement
of the Council for Democratic Reform No. 7 dated 20th September
B.E. 2549 (2006), the Council for Democratic Reform hereby announces,
for the
continuation of administration under the democratic regime of government having
the King as Head of State when the
situation becomes normal, as follows:
Clause 1. The Organic Law on Political Party, B.E. 2541 (1998) shall continue in force so as to maintain legal status of the political parties.
Clause 2. For the purpose of maintaining public order, no existing political parties shall organise meeting or exercise political activities, and the establishment or registration of political party shall be temporarily suspended.
Until otherwise is announced.
