Announcement of the Council for Democratic Reform
No. 5
Re: Political Participation of Students
By realising that students’ powers are momentous for the development of the nation, the Council for Democratic Reform is therefore of the opinion that students should be encouraged to participate in politics under the democratic regime of government with the King as the Head of State, particularly in the election of the members of the House of Representatives to be organized in the near future so as to make such the election fair and keeping away from money-voting and undue influence. If any student has any recommendation for the politic progression under the democratic regime of government with the King as Head of State, please send such recommendation to the Office of the Secretary of the Royal Thai Army, Thanon Rajdamneon Nok, Khet Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200.
Given on the 19th Day of September B.E. 2549
(Sign) General Sonthi Boonyaratkalin
(Sonthi Boonyaratkalin)
