DECISION No. 08/2004/QD-BTNMT of May 26, 2004 defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of Vietnam Geological and Mineral Department Vietnam Geological and Mineral Depart-ment is an organization under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, functioning to assist the Minister in performing the State management over geology and minerals, including geological basic surveys, geological basic surveys of mineral resources, mineral activities, protection of mineral resources, and performance of the work of geological basic surveys and geological basic surveys of mineral resources, evaluation of mineral potentials, and detection of mines nationwide. This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette and replaces Decision No. 14/2003/QD-BTNMT of January 9, 2003 of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.- (Summary)
