THE GOVERNMENT PRICING COMMITTEE CIRCULAR No. 6/1998/TT-BVGCP of August 22, 1998 guiding the principles for determining unit prices for price and transport freight subsidies, and determining retail prices of goods items eligible for price and freight subsidies to be sold in mountainous areas, islands and areas inhabited by ethnic minorities The price and freight subsidy scope and subjects shall comply with stipulations in Point 1 of Joint Circular No. 11/1998/TTLT/BTM-UBDTMN-BTC-BKHDT of the Ministry of Trade, the Commission for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Planning and Investment. The goods items eligible for the freight subsidy include: - Goods items eligible for subsidy to the cost of their transport to commune cluster centers include: writing paper for school children, medicaments (according to the Ministry of Health list) and kerosene for lighting; - Goods items eligible for subsidy to the cost of their transport to district centers: fertilizers (Urea, Potassium, NPK, SA, DAP, microbiological fertilizers, phosphorous fertilizer), pesticide, coal (including that exploited in such localities), books (according to the list provided by the Ministry of Culture and Information); - Freight subsidy to promote the sale of products and goods (according to the list provided by the Government) which are produced in mountainous areas, islands and areas inhabited by ethnic minorities; The goods items subject to the price and freight subsidies for their transport to commune cluster centers include: - Plant varieties; - Iodized salt.- (Summary)
