Directive No. 619-TTg of September 6, 1996 of the Prime Minister on a number of urgent measures for food hygiene inspection with regard to fresh milk sold on domestic market. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shall direct the specialized veterinary agencies to conduct periodical examination of the dairy cattle; guide, inspect and supervise the production of fresh milk and expertise its veterinary hygiene before allowing it to be sold on the market. The Ministry of Health shall coordinate with the concerned Ministries and branches in organizing periodical health check for people involving in the production, processing and trading of fresh milk and other dairy products. The market control agency of the Ministry of Trade, the epidemic prevention and sanitation agency of the Ministry of Health and the veterinary agency of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shall coordinate in checking food hygiene with regard to fresh milk and dairy products circulated on the market. The Peoples Committee of all levels shall enhance the direction of the implementation of the regulations on food hygiene with regard to fresh milk and other dairy products.- (Summary)
