DIRECTIVE No. 15/2002/CT-TTg of July 26, 2002 on fighting negative phenomena in physical training and sport activities In recent years, negative phenomena in physical training and sport activities tend to increase in both nature and form. Negative acts are manifest not only in sport competitions but also in the selection and training of athletes. In order to develop physical training and sports activities in a healthy manner, the Prime Minister instructs the concerned ministries and branches to perform the following tasks: - To amend and promulgate legal documents on preventing and combating negative phenomena in physical training and sport activities; - To enhance the work of inspection and examination, detect and handle organizations and/or individuals that commit negative acts; and to work out measures to prevent negative acts; - To timely commend collectives and/or individuals that record good achievements and, at the same time criticize negative acts; - To enhance the work of ideological education so as to raise the awareness of, and the resolve to fight, negative phenomena in physical training and sport activities; - The heads of sport agencies and the heads of various branches and localities shall have to bear responsibility for negative acts committed in physical training and sport activities of their respective agencies, branches and localities.- (Summary)
