RESOLUTION No.4/1998/NQ-CP of March 30, 1998 on its March 1998 regular meeting.

On March 25 and 26, 1998, the Government held its March 1998 regular meeting to discuss and resolve the following issues:

- It examined the program for socio-economic development of communes confronted with great difficulties;

- It adopted the Government's draft resolution on enhancing the crime prevention and combat in new situation and the draft national program for crime prevention and combat. The Government assigned the Ministry of the Interior to coordinate with the concerned agencies in finalizing these two drafts then submit them to the Prime Minister for promulgation in April 1998;

- It adopted the supplementary report on the implementation of the 1997 plan, the report on the implementation of the 1998's first quarter plan and the implementation of the 1998 plan;

- It adopted the draft decree promulgating the regulation on promotion of democracy in communes; the draft decree promulgating the regulation on medical insurance; the draft decree detailing the implementation of the Law on Corporate Income Tax and the draft decree detailing the implementation of the Law on Added Value Tax. These drafts shall be further improved before being submitted to the Government for promulgation in April 1998.- (Summary)
