DIRECTIVE No. 29/2001/CT-TTg of November 30, 2001 on stepping up the thrift practice and wastefulness combat The Prime Minister instructs the ministers, the heads of the ministerial-level agencies, the heads of the agencies attached to the Government, the presidents of the People’s Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities, the chairmen of the Managing Boards, the general directors and directors of State enterprises, and the heads of the State budget-funded organizations, within their respective powers and responsibilities, to organize the strict implementation of the undertakings on thrift practice and wastefulness combat, performing the following tasks: - To propagate and disseminate the undertakings on thrift practice and wastefulness combat; - To practice thrift and combat wastefulness in capital construction investment; - To practice thrift and combat wastefulness in procuring and using public assets as well as using the State budget; - To practice thrift and combat wastefulness in managing and using capital and assets at State enterprises; - To practice thrift and combat wastefulness in people’s production and consumption; - To practice thrift and combat wastefulness on annual Tet holidays. Organizations and individuals that are assigned the task of receiving, managing and distributing funds formulated with contributions from people, organizations, governments or non-governmental organizations for relief, humanitarian or charity purposes must publicly announce revenue sources and results of distribution and use of these funds in strict accordance with the Financial Publicity Regulation issued together with the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 225/1998/QD-TTg of November 20, 1998.- (Summary)
