DIRECTIVE No.12-TTg OF JANUARY 6, 1996 OF THE PRIME MINISTER ON THE CONTINUED STRICT IMPLEMENTATION OF DECISION No.432-TTg OF AUGUST 7, 1995 TO PROTECT AND DEVELOP THE SALINE SUBMERGED FORESTS AND THE ALLUVIAL AREA OF NGOC HIEN DISTRICT, MINH HAI PROVINCE The Prime Minister instructs the People's Committee of Minh Hai province and the concerned Ministries and branches to well implement the following: - To protect by all means the existing system of saline submerged forests, restore and develop these forests, bring into play the forests' role in protecting and preserving soil, expand the alluvial land and restore the eco-system. - To educate the local population so that they can thoroughly understand and engage in this effort. - To revise the planning, work out measures and steps suited to reality; promptly develop feasible projects and project designs to be implemented from 1996 onwards with priority given to the objective of protecting and developing forests. - To move the people who are illegally encroaching upon the forests or alluvial land out of these areas in accordance with the guiding documents. - To urgently complete the forest inventorization.- (summary)
