To establish Enterprises Information Center under the Enterprise Department of the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Enterprises Information Center shall have the following tasks, powers and responsibilities:

- To set up and manage the system of information on enterprises throughout the country; in the immediate future, to concentrate efforts on building the system of information on enterprises operating under the Law on Enterprises;

- To periodically provide information on enterprises to the concerned Party and State bodies;

- To provide information on enterprises to organizations and individuals at their requests and be entitled to collect charges as prescribed.

- To collect necessary information relating to enterprises’ operations in order to provide information in support of enterprises;

- To provide guidance on the operation of business registration, to set up and manage the system of enterprises information for business registration bureaus under the provincial/municipal Planning and Investment Services;

- To advise the Ministry on issuing, according to its competence, documents on professional operations and forms in service of business registration, prescribing reporting regimes and inspecting the observance of the reporting regimes regarding business registration;

- To announce information on the establishment, dissolution or bankruptcy of enterprises, on changes of enterprises’ business registration contents and provisions of legislation on business.

- To be entitled to set up relations with organizations at home and abroad, and receive assistance from donors to establish and manage the system of enterprises information.- (Summary)
