DECISION No. 137/1998/QD-TTg of July 31, 1998 on the management of national food reserve The national food reserve is the State's paddy and rice volume preserved under the prescribed quality standards to be used for the following purposes: ensuring the national food security; preventing and overcoming the natural calamities' consequences; serving the national security and defense activities; and meeting other requirements of the Government. The National Reserve Department shall directly manage the national food reserve. The management of the national food reserve shall comply with the provisions of this Decision and the Regulation on management of the national reserves issued together with Decree No.10-CP of February 24, 1996 of the Government.- (Summary)
