DECISION No.178-LDTBXH/QD OF MARCH 18, 1997 ON THE PRINTING, ISSUE AND MANAGEMENT OF WORK PERMITS GRANTED TO FOREIGNERS THE MINISTER OF LABOR, WAR INVALIDS AND SOCIAL AFFAIRS - Pursuant to Decree No.15-CP of March 2, 1993 of the Government on the tasks, powers and State management responsibilities of ministries and ministerial-level agencies; - Pursuant to Decree No.96-CP of December 7, 1993 of the Government on the function, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; - Pursuant to Decree No.58-CP of October 3, 1996 of the Government on the granting of work permits to foreigners working at enterprises and organizations in Vietnam; - At the proposal of the Director of General and Legal Affairs Department, DECIDES: Article 1.- To issue together with this Decision the model of work permits granted to foreigners working in Vietnam. Article 2.- A work permit has a size of 11 cm x 15 cm and comprises four pages; the first and fourth pages are sky-blue and plastic-coated. The first page is arranged from top to bottom as follows: the official name of the country is on the top; below is the national emblem; then the following inscriptions: "Giay Phep Lao Dong" (above) and "Work Permit" (under); at the bottom of the page are the inscriptions: "Bo Lao dong, Thuong binh va Xa hoi" (above) and "Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs" (under). The second and third pages are on white backgrounds, with light-blue designs and a star in the middle. The specific decoration and content of the model work permit is issued together with this Decision. Article 3.- To assign the General and Legal Affairs Department to print the work permits according to the model form issued together with this Decision and the work permit application forms, to uniformly manage the work permits and distribute them to the provincial/municipal Services of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. The distribution of work permits and application forms shall involve the collection of charges including printing and delivery costs. Article 4.- This Decision takes effect from April 2, 1997. The models of staff cards and labor cards issued by the Peoples Committees of the provinces and cities directly under the Central Government or provincial/municipal Services of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs before the effective date of this Decision are now annulled.
