Decision No. 230/1998/QD-TTg of November 30, 1998 on the restructure of scientific and technological research and development institutions attached to the Ministry of Health

To rename the following research institutes attached to the Ministry of Health:

- The Hanoi Epidemic Hygiene Institute is renamed as the Central Epidemic Hygiene Institute;

- The Hanoi Malaria- Parasitology- Entomology Institute is renamed as the Central Malaria- Parasitology- Entomology Institute.

To upgrade the Qui Nhon Malaria- Parasitology- Entomology Sub-Institute into the Qui Nhon Malaria- Parasitology- Entomology Institute.

To set up the Medical Strategies and Policies Institute on the basis of reorganizing the Medical Sociology Center and the concerned scientific research institutions.

To add the following scientific and technological research and development institutions attached to the Ministry of Health to the list of institutes mentioned in Item 1, Article 1 of Decision No. 782-TTg of October 24, 1996 of the Prime Minister on the restructure of scientific and technological research and development institutions:

1. The national institutes:

- The Central Epidemic Hygiene Institute

- The Central Malaria- Parasitology- Entomology Institute

- The Dietetics Institute

- The Pharmaceuticals Institute

- The Labor Medicine and Environmental Hygiene Institute

- The Medical Strategies and Policies Institute

2. The regional institutes:

- The Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) Epidemic Hygiene Institute

- The Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City

- The Pasteur Institute of Nha Trang

- The Qui Nhon Malaria- Parasitology- Entomology Institute.- (Summary)
