DECISION No.48/1998/QD-TTg of February 27, 1998 on the setting up of the Team for Study of Special Economic Zones in Vietnam. To set up the Team for Study of Special Economic Zones in Vietnam, which is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ngo Xuan Loc, and composed of Chairman of the Vietnam Industrial Park Management Board Le Xuan Trinh as its standing deputy head, and leading officials of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Customs as its members. The Team for Study of Special Economic Zones in Vietnam is tasked to study the necessity to establish special economic zones in Vietnam, and their organizational structures and policies applicable thereto; to select a number of localities having enough conditions for the establishment of special economic zones. The special economic zone plan shall be expeditiously drawn up and submitted to the Government for the first consideration in early April 1998.- (Summary) |
