DECISION No. 06/2004/QD-BKHCN of April 29, 2004 promulgating the Regulation on organization and operation of the Department for Social and Natural Sciences Promulgated together with this Decision was the Regulation on organization and operation of the Department for Social and Natural Sciences, which is an unit attached to the Ministry of Science and Technology, assisting the Minister in performing the function of State management over scientific research and technological development activities and development of scientific and technological potentials in social and natural sciences, as well as oceanic, natural resources and environment, military and security sciences and technologies. The Regulation prescribes the functions, tasks, powers, organizational structure and working relationships of the Department for Social and Natural Sciences. This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette and replaces Decision No. 733/QD-BKHCNMT of June 12, 1998 of the Science, Technology and Environment Minister (now the Science and Technology Minister) promulgating the organization and operation charter of the Department for Management of Social and Natural Sciences.- (Summary)
