Resolution No. 10/1999/NQ-CP of August 27, 1999 of the Government August 1999 regular meeting On August 25, 1999, the Government held its August 1999 regular meeting to discuss and resolve the following issues: - The Government heard the Minister of Communications and Transport presenting the "Report on traffic accident situation and preventive measures". The Government assigned the Ministry of Communications and Transport to assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with concerned ministries and branches in finalizing the Project on measures to ensure traffic order and safety; and at the same time to elaborate and submit the national program on traffic safety to the Government for approval. - The Government adopted the bill amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Land-use Right Transfer Tax. The Government assigned the Ministry of Finance to coordinate with the Ministry of Justice and the Government Office in finalizing the project, then reporting to the Prime Minister for consideration and further submission to the National Assembly. - The Government heard the Minister of Justice presenting the Government Report on National Assembly’s legislative program in 2000. - The Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs submitted the plan for the implementation of the new working regime of 40 hours a week to the Government. The Government affirmed that the policy on new working regime has demonstrated the State’s and Party’s concern to improve working conditions, healthcare for laborers and develop the human resources. The Government assigned the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with concerned agencies in finalizing the Prime Minister’s draft decision on materialization of the new working regime of 40 hours a week, then submitting it to the Prime Minister for issuance in early October, 1999. - The Government heard the Minister of Planning and Investment presenting the report on socio-economic situation in August and the first 8 months of 1999.- (Summary)
