- The Judge should understand a general principle that criminal proceedings shall be conducted according to the principle that every citizen is on an equal footing before the law, regardless of ethnic group, gender, belief, religion, social sector, social status. Anyone who commits an offence shall be dealt with in accordance with the law (Article 5 of the CrPC).
