Main tasks and practical skills:
- The Court must comply with the principle of dealing with juvenile offenders as provided in Article 69 of the Penal Code.
- The Court may apply to a juvenile offender only one of the following penalties: warnings, fines, non-custodial rehabilitation, imprisonment.
The application of the above penalties must be in compliance with the provisions of the Penal Code in respect to a particular penalty (Articles 72, 73 and 74 of the Penal Code).
- Where a juvenile accused has committed different offences, the combination of penalties imposed on them must be in accordance with Article 75 of the Penal Code.
- Where the Court finds it unnecessary to impose any penalty on a juvenile offender, the Court shall decide the application of one of the following preventative and educational judicial measures: rehabilitation in local commune or sending to a rehabilitation centre (Article 70 of the Penal Code).
