Main tasks and practical skills:
- Compensation for damage resulting from loss of life includes many items which are similar to compensation for damage caused by harm to health. The difference is that the victim is deceased and cannot receive certain compensation amounts.
- In addition to the above mentioned compensation amounts, compensation for damage resulting from loss of life has the following characteristics:
- Reasonable expenses for burial, including: expenses for buying a coffin, other items necessary for laying the dead person in the coffin, mourning head-bands, incense, candles, flowers, hiring a hearse and other expenses for the purpose of burying the victim or cremating the victim in accordance with common practices; - A compensation amount for mental loss caused to persons who are closest to the victim (Persons of the first inheritance line and persons who directly brought up the victim).
- Compensation for termination of alimony which should have been provided by the person suffering from damage shall fall under one of the circumstances as provided in Article 61 of the Family and Marriage Law.
