- Resolving a request to revoke an illegal marriage.
- Resolving a request to recognize a voluntary divorce, post-divorce child custody or post-divorce property division.
- Resolving a request to recognize an agreement on changing of post-divorce child custodian.
- Resolving a request to restrict rights of a father [or] mother towards a child or their right to visit the child in the post-divorce period.
- Resolving a request to terminate the adoption of children.
- Resolving a request to recognize and enforce in Vietnam a judgment or decision on marriage and family of a foreign court; or not to recognize a judgment or decision on marriage and family of a foreign court that is not required to be enforced in Vietnam.
- Resolving other requests on marriage and family as stipulated by the law.
